- Public reports and civic presentations only utilize de-identified, aggregated survey statistics.
- You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
1. Overview and Scope
Our commitment to data privacy, ethical research, and transparency.
Monovalley ("Monovalley," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is dedicated to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy details our practices concerning the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of information obtained when you visit www.monovalley.co, participate in our Community Survey, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise communicate with us.
By using our Services, you consent to the data collection and processing practices described herein. We adhere to applicable state and federal data protection standards, including Arizona state privacy principles, California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) standards, and international best practices.
2. Information We Collect
Details of survey data, newsletter details, contact messages, and technical telemetry.
We collect information across the following categories:
A. Community Survey Information:
Transit opinions, preferences, ratings, and selections regarding routes, Scottsdale corridors, operating hours, safety priorities, and transit technology;
Qualitative written commentary, ideas for station locations, and community suggestions;
Survey anti-bot verification inputs (mathematical verification challenge) to ensure genuine human participation;
Optional demographic or geographic neighborhood identifiers (such as Scottsdale neighborhood or commute frequency), if explicitly asked within specific survey sections.
B. Newsletter & Subscriber Data:
Full name and email address when you voluntarily subscribe through our newsletter subscription modules.
C. Communications & Inquiries:
Name, email, organization, phone number, and message contents submitted through our Contact Us or Career/Team inquiry forms.
D. Automated Technical & Telemetry Data:
Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, device characteristics, timestamps, and page interaction telemetry collected via server logs and Vercel Speed Insights to ensure website speed, reliability, and security.
Zero Sale of Personal Information
Monovalley does not sell, lease, or monetize personal information. Data collected is used solely to advance elevated transit planning and community engagement in Scottsdale.
3. How We Use Survey & Personal Data
Lawful purposes for processing your feedback and personal information.
We process your data for the following specific purposes:
Transit Feasibility & Route Optimization: Analyzing commuter demand patterns, identifying high-priority station locations (such as Old Town Scottsdale, Scottsdale Fashion Square, McDowell corridor), and tuning elevated guideway alignments;
Civic Advocacy & Presentations: Compiling de-identified, aggregated survey insights into whitepapers, civic reports, and informational presentations delivered to the Scottsdale City Council, municipal planning commissions, Valley Metro, and regional transit stakeholders;
Community Communication: Delivering project updates, milestone newsletters, survey outcome summaries, and event invitations to subscribed individuals;
Platform Security & Anti-Fraud: Verifying that survey submissions represent authentic community members rather than automated bot campaigns or duplicate submissions;
Legal Compliance & Protection: Enforcing our Terms of Service, responding to lawful governmental requests, and safeguarding Monovalley against fraud, security threats, or legal liability.
4. Survey Aggregation and Anonymity
Survey responses are aggregated and stripped of personal identifiers before public release.
We take community trust seriously. When survey results are shared publicly—including in press releases, social media graphics, public council presentations, or whitepapers—they are presented exclusively in aggregated or anonymized form (e.g., "82% of respondents support elevated monorail connectivity along Scottsdale Road").
We will never publicly publish your email address, full name, or private contact details alongside your individual survey responses without your prior, explicit written authorization.
6. Data Retention and Security
Security safeguards and responsible retention periods for community data.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Survey records are stored in secured databases accessible only to authorized personnel.
Survey data is retained for as long as necessary to conduct ongoing transit feasibility studies, compile longitudinal community trends, and present recommendations to municipal partners. Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time, upon which their email is promptly removed from active distribution lists.
7. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA, Arizona, GDPR Standards)

Depending on your location and applicable law, you possess the following rights regarding your personal information:
Right to Access / Know: Request details on what personal information we have collected and how it is processed;
